CAREER TECH GIRL'S DAY CAMP

With the help of the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, Eastern Michigan University is sponsoring a one-day, FREE, CTE Girl's Day Camp to be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007from 9AM to 3PM at the EMU Student Union room 310 A and B.  Explore career opportunities and learn about EMU's Career and Technical Programs.  WASHINGTON WORKSHOPS FOUNDATION

2007 marks the 49th year that Washington Workshops are presenting unique and rewarding study seminars in Washington, DC for qualified and talented high school students from across the country who are self-motivated young leaders on their way to careers in politics, journalism, medicine, education and law.  The Washington Workshops arrange Congressional internships on Capitol Hill or politically related office assignments throughout our nation's capital. The program can be taken in three week or longer segments starting June 17 extending through July 28. Grosse Ile High School has the “careercruising” program up and running.  Students at the high school have been introduced to this exciting career program and the feedback has been great.   We would like parents, as well as students, to take advantage of this site.   Career cruising is an internet site which can be accessed from school or home.  Below is the information you will need to log on:

a)     www.careercruising.com

b)     username:  gihs

c)      password:  careers 

Students who have opened and entered information on their personal EDP have an additional username and password.  Students and counselors have this information.
