Adobe Project Work – Project 1

You will create a poster (11x14) or an 8 ½ by 11 piece of artwork for a “cause.” 

Examples

Causes:  Pollution, Poverty, Hunger, War, Domestic Abuse, Anti-smoking, Old age

Diseases:  Cystic Fibrosis, Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Heart Association, Diabetes, AIDs, , NRA,

Other countries causes (Ireland/IRA); genocide (Darfur, Africa)

Local:  Bridge, Downriver Guidance Center, Backpacks, Humbug Marsh, Pep Assemblies, Open Space, Green Zone

If starting with no photo or background, you would use File, New and set the dimensions to the size of the poster you want to create.  I will help you create the affect you need, but please remember that you can use the Help feature in Adobe or use the IE to search for your topic.

You NEED to do some research on your topic.  You need to find data and have it appear in text form on the artwork.  You need to have the foundation/commission/organization listed on the poster.

Requirements:

• Size - 17x22 and 8 1/2 x 11

• Must contain different size text, font face, font color

• Cause/Slogan clearly stated

• Foundation/Organization/Commission Stated

• File name:  Cause.psd

• Report - one or two paragraph report stating why you chose the cause, opinion about the cause (but this should be clearly seen in the artwork) -- oppose/support the cause AND explain how you created the artwork and what effects you used -- so keep notes while you while work on the photo.
