Course Description
Statistics
is the mathematics of the business world, social studies, education, as
well as the sciences. This
course is offered to students who wish to study higher mathematics but do
not feel Precalculus will prepare them for their future studies or choose
this class in addition to studies leading to calculus.
This
course prepares students to take the Advanced Placement examination in
Statistics, potentially leading to college credit for a one-semester class
in statistics. The exam will
be administered to all enrolled students in the first part of May.
The exam is 3 hours and
covers a one-semester introductory non-calculus based college statistics
course. It contains 90 minutes of multiple-choice questions and 90 minutes
of free-response questions. The exam covers exploring data; planning a
