When contacting your elected official, take advantage of the following tips:

Always include your last name and address on the letter.  A letter cannot be answered if there is not return address or the signature is illegible.
Be friendly and respectful.  Remember, your actions, tone, and attitude will reflect upon you and Grosse Ile Township Schools.
Be brief.  Write one page with a short opening and two or three paragraphs on the subject.  Feel free to use our sample letter or our advocacy talking points.
Be candid and personal.  Include how you have benefited from Grosse Ile and public education in general.
Let us know of any contact you have made on behalf of Grosse Ile Township Schools.
