When contacting your elected official, take advantage of the following tips:
Always include your last name and address on the letter. A letter cannot be answered if there is not return address or the signature is illegible. |
Be friendly and respectful. Remember, your actions, tone, and attitude will reflect upon you and Grosse Ile Township Schools. |
Be brief. Write one page with a short opening and two or three paragraphs on the subject. Feel free to use our sample letter or our advocacy talking points. |
Be candid and personal. Include how you have benefited from Grosse Ile and public education in general. |
Let us know of any contact you have made on behalf of Grosse Ile Township Schools. |
