Rain Garden

Exciting news! We are thrilled to announce that we have received a GIEF grant for our rain garden, and it's making great progress. Most of the dry and wet tolerant native plants are now in the ground.

While we were cleaning up, we were delighted to see a frog, two birds, and four butterflies. Next up: landscaping and interpretive signage. Stay tuned!

Dr. Roscoe's Students designed this rain garden to absorb rainwater runoff from impervious surfaces. It features native plants

that filter pollutants, reduce erosion and promote groundwater recharge for our island home.
