Our students in Music have been working very hard on learning the Ukulele. This week our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders had their Ukulele concerts. Congratulations to Ms. Lauer and our students on the amazing job they did on learning this new instrument! Thank you to our District for providing us with the Ukuleles. Thank you to the Grosse Ile Music boosters for proving the Ukulele stand for us.
After Field Day our top ten fundraisers from the Kids Heart Challenge were able to silly string Mr. Ryan and Ms. Garza. To say they enjoyed it would be a huge understatement :) As a school we raised over $12,000! Way to go Meridian!

On Wednesday the 2nd graders from Parke Lane came over for a tour of Meridian. Each 2nd grader received a one-on-one presentation from our 3rd graders. Then they received a school tour by a few of our 5th graders. Finally, they all gathered in the Media Center to have a Q & A session with Ms. Garza. We are so excited to have them here next year!
