Day 1 of 8th Grade DC Trip ! A big day of travel including a Red Robin dinner followed by a great stop at Udvar-Hazy Space Museum and a night tour to MLK Memorial and FDR Memorial. We are excited for a great week.

8th Graders are off to Washington DC !!

Thank you to all the students who submitted essays honoring the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Your thoughtful reflections and dedication to honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice are truly commendable. Your words help keep their legacy alive and remind us of the importance of service, sacrifice, and remembrance.
Congratulations to Ruby Wharton, Jacob Bouwman, Nathan Howes, and Drew Lakatosh! They will represent Grosse Ile Middle School by laying the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This is a tremendous honor and a meaningful way to pay tribute to those who served and sacrificed for our country.

Congratulations to our Math Counts team on their 3rd place win at their competition!!

GIMS would like to send a big thank you to Judge McNally and the 33rd District Court for providing our 8th grade students with an amazing experience through the "Court to School" program. Your time, dedication, and insight made a lasting impact, and we truly appreciate the opportunity for our students to learn firsthand about the judicial system.

Good luck to our GIMS girls basketball team at their home game today! The game will take place at 4:00pm & 5:00pm at the Grosse Ile High School (note the location change)

Next week, GIMS will be celebrating Valentine’s Spirit Week! Check out the themed days and get ready to show your school spirit!
