Starting Off Right
Grosse Ile Township Schools offers parents and children multiple options for this most important initial education experience. Currently the following Kindergarten options are available:
- All Day Kindergarten (must be 5 years old by December 1st of the school year)
- Transitional Kindergarten: All Day Kindergarten Program (must turn 5 between September 1st and December 1st of the school year)
All Day Kindergarten
@ Parke Lane Elementary (Kdg - 2nd Grade)
An all-day Kindergarten experience is also offered at Parke Lane, our early elementary building. Kindergarten Information Night is generally held in March of the school year. At this time, parents receive registration information.
Transitional Kindergarten Program
@ Parke Lane Elementary (Kdg - 2nd Grade)
In addition to the above experiences, we offer an all-day Transitional Kindergarten program. Deciding exactly when to begin a youngster in Kindergarten is a decision that frequently requires insights from both teachers and parents. Transitional Kindergarten is yet another Kindergarten option for Grosse Ile families as they decide what is best for their child.
