Ms. Gurney's 8th graders take advantage of the nice weather while they work on their realistic self-portraits; using shading tools and following proportion lines.
Mrs. Dishon's innovation class:
I&E Food Trucks - students created a business plan, used geometry to figure out the floor plan, built the truck, appliances, and cabinets, created original menus on Canva, and created a radio commercial to promote their business!

Tomorrow - Meridian & Parke Lane SPIRIT DAY
Orange vs Purple
Meridian 5th Grade Parents - You have just over a week to get your Camp letters & medication turned into the office.
One of the traditions of 5th grade camp is students receiving letters from their loved ones each morning. Please participate in this tradition as your child will look forward to receiving and reading a letter from you and others!
- Have each letter in a different envelope labeled with your child’s name and 5th grade teacher’s name on the outside of the envelope
- If you prefer which morning they read the letter, specify which day on the envelope
They have three mornings, so three letters!
- Please do not put anything else in the letters, especially food
- We do try to surprise them with the letters so…shhhhh!
SOCKTOBER WEEK AT MERIDIAN!
Way to go Meridian! Look at our sock donations so far!
We are collecting new, clean socks through Friday 10/27 to donate to a local homeless shelter.
Every night in the United States an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets. Socktober was launched by Kid President. It’s a movement to get kids and grown-ups to help the homeless in an easy, fun way. Every year, more than 10,000 schools, families, businesses, and churches rallied together to bring Socktober to life. This movement is helping prove that even the smallest acts of love, like donating a pair of socks, can make a big difference in the lives of our neighbors who are homeless.
Trunk or Treat tomorrow!
Meridian Spirit Days this week:
Friday - we will do BOTH Halloween & Crazy Sock Day to wrap up our Socktober week!
